QLD POLICE ACADEMY

As Branch Architect for the Queensland Police Service, Kevin was involved in the Masterplanning and preparation of a business case for a new Queensland Police Academy and  Police operational facilities, at Westgate. This included urban scenario training facilities, live firing ranges, driver training facilities, campus accommodation and library, mess facilities, a forensic science laboratory and office complex, and extensive stores. Total value of this complex project was in excess of $500 million. Kevin utilised the professional resources of Project Services to assemble the project team.  Work involved detailed scope definition, master planning and user group liaison, estimates of work staged to facilitate detailed financial planning over several government budget cycles and land acquisition processes through the Queensland Government Service. The project was successfully concluded with the acquisition of the site by the Queensland Police.

HOLSWORTHY MULTI UNIT RESIDENTIAL

As Project Director and Senior Architect for Woods Bagot's Brisbane studio Kevin led the team on “LEAP 1”, a multi unit residential housing on several sites in NSW and Queensland for the Department of Defence. Total value was in excess of  $500 million. Kevin led the project from the end of Concept Design, through Design Development, construction and through to handover. He subsequently gave advice to the Woods Bagot ‘LEAP 2’ team during their successful bid and project establishment phase.

During his time at Woods Bagot Kevin was also Project Director for a Master-plan and feasibility study for a new aviation education campus at Maryborough for Flight Training Adelaide. Estimated value $250 million


Kevin was also Senior Architect at ML Design Brisbane and Leader of the documentation team of a residential high rise project for expatriate accommodation comprising 4 x nine-storey towers plus a 4 storey community facilities building in Port Moresby, for Moss Capital. Total project value $ 450 million.  Kevin's role included client liaison, Design Development, preparation of PNG Building Authority Approval drawings, Tender and Construction Documentation, coordination of services engineering and Certifiers reports, consultation with QS to identify and implement Value Management and Assessment of a potential tenderer.
